Gagen of Indian Mills, N.J., passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Penn Presbyterian Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa. She was 75. Born in Somerville, Mass., Joyce had resided in Indian Mills since 1973. She was a local artist and owner of Art A La Carte in Indian Mills. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, John Gagen; two children, Lawrence Gagen of Des Moines, Iowa, and Cassandra Wasley and her husband, Stephen, of Suwanee, Ga.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Noreen Gonzales, and Timothy and Joanne Gonzales, all of Manchester, N.H.; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gerard and Kathryn Brown of Long Island, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Zachary, Eliza, Declan, and Connor; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford. The viewing will continue from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, April 16, at the Church of the Holy Eucharist, 520 Medford Lakes Rd., Tabernacle. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the church.
